What will you build, or rebuild, with your life? Join in as we uncover three keys to starting the rebuilding process off right, so we can embrace every wonderful thing God has in mind to give us.
Come, Let Us Rebuild
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven... a time to break down, and a time to build up. Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 (ESV)
Come, let us rebuild... Nehemiah 2:17b (NIV)
To Rebuild, I Will...
1. Clear the Rubble
Let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Hebrews 12:1b (TEV)
Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12 (NLT)
2. Choose the Right Foundation
Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins? ... Look at what’s happening to you! You have planted much but harvest little. You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes but cannot keep warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes! ... Look at what’s happening to you! Now go up into the hills, bring down timber, and rebuild my house. Then I will take pleasure in it and be honored. Haggai 1:4-8a (NLT)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
3. Start Building and Refuse to Stop
Don't be discouraged, any of you. Do the work, for I am with you. When you came out of Egypt, I promised that I would always be with you. I am still with you, so do not be afraid... The new Temple will be more splendid than the old one, and there I will give my people prosperity and peace. Haggai 2:4b-9a (TEV)
